What is Physical Therapy?

At The Clubhouse, our pediatric physical therapy program helps children move with greater strength, coordination, and independence. Using play-based methods and neurodevelopmental techniques, our therapists support each child’s journey toward improved mobility and function in daily life.

We work with children facing a wide range of challenges, from developmental delays to injuries and medical conditions, providing expert care tailored to their needs. Every session is designed to promote motor and sensory development support through engaging, hands-on activities that meet your child where they are and move them forward.

How does Physical Therapy at the Clubhouse work?

At the Clubhouse, our play-based physical therapy helps keep children engaged, which maximizes the benefits of our treatment. Our interdisciplinary team of therapists works together to develop an individualized treatment plan for your child. We develop each plan with the involvement of our families so you’re always informed and able to carry over the child’s in-clinic exercises and goals at home. We meet children at their current ability level and build skills through motivating, play-based movement experiences.

Program Structure

Our pediatric physical therapy program ensures every child receives individualized, goal-driven care that adapts as they grow and make progress.

Comprehensive Movement Analysis

Each child begins with a full evaluation that looks at gross motor development, strength, balance, coordination, and movement patterns. This foundational assessment helps us identify your child’s needs and design a therapy plan that supports meaningful growth.

Tailored Treatment Plan

Using the results of the evaluation, we create an individualized plan with specific, functional goals. These goals are designed to improve mobility and independence across daily environments like home, school, and the community.

Therapy Scheduling

Therapy frequency is based on your child’s needs and your family’s routine. Most children benefit from one to three sessions per week to maintain momentum and support steady progress.

Active Intervention

Our therapists use a combination of balance and coordination therapy for kids, strength training, and neuromuscular re-education to build physical skills in a fun, engaging way. Each session is active, structured, and carefully adjusted to challenge your child at the right level.

Ongoing Progress Monitoring

We use data collection and observation for ongoing progress monitoring during every session. This helps us adapt the plan in real-time and ensure therapy stays aligned with your child’s development.

Family Coaching and Home Program Integration

We provide parents and caregivers with caregiver education and home exercises that reinforce therapy goals outside the clinic. These tools empower families to support motor development through everyday routines and play.

We had a wonderful experience working with Miss Madeline at The Clubhouse. She provided therapy and support to our daughter with great professionalism, care, and expertise. Her approach was not only effective in the clinic but extended to our home as well. She offered in-home parent training sessions that were incredibly helpful and gave us the tools to better support our daughter. Miss Madeline’s compassionate nature and deep understanding of behavioral therapy made a real difference. Under her guidance, our daughter made noticeable progress, and we as parents felt more confident and empowered. We are truly grateful for her dedication and highly recommend her to any family looking for knowledgeable and supportive care.

My daughter has been coming here for over 8 months. Sending her here was one of the best decisions I ever made. The process of accepting my daughter was very quick and stress free. My family really love the atmosphere and the staff. They always make us feel like family. They are very encouraging to my daughter. Thanks to them, my daughter has greatly improved. I want to thank the following staff members for their ongoing support. Ellie for Speech. Brianna for OT. Sarah for Speech. Yvonne and Susan at the front desk. My daughter wouldn't be doing better if it wasn't for you guys. Thank you. I'm looking forward to us continuing to work together.
