Ocean Sensory Bin

Have your children explore Sea Life! Sensory bins are a fun creative outlet for children and they promote tactile play, fine motor skills, and pretend play. While playing, you can have your child label the different sea creatures and have them use motor planning to catch the fish by scooping them up in the net.

Supplies needed:

  • Storage Bin
  • Water Beads (Amazon or Walmart)
  • Ocean Sea Creatures
  • Nets, Shovels or Spoons

Shaving Cream Car Wash

Great for kids who love messy play or ones that need exposure to different textures! You can create your own foamy “car wash” outside by creating two stations. One station will include the soap (shaving cream) and the brushes to scrub the cars. The second station will include the water to rinse the cars.

Supplies needed:

  • 2 Storage Bins/Foil Containers
  • Shaving Cream
  • Toy Cars
  • Toothbrushes
  • Water

Take a Trip to the Local Playground

The playground offers tons of movement activities for your children such as: swinging, going down the slide, crossing the monkey bars, playing hopscotch, and even rolling down a hill. You can have the children create obstacle courses with the playground equipment to promote motor planning, sequencing, balance, body awareness, and bilateral coordination.
