Establishing friendships and play skills is a vital part of childhood. The fields of Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy join forces to help kids develop social
communication skills such as turn taking and reciprocity, understanding the perspective of others, and body language recognition, through fun, theme-based activities.
Ages 5-7 Thursday: 4:30-5:30 pm
Ages 7-10 Thursday: 4:30-5:30 pm
Friendship, Fun and Games!
Sometimes the greatest challenge for children who struggle with social skills is using them effectively during regular childhood interaction. In this group, children
participate in a variety of activities while our Speech Therapists guide them in refining their peer interaction skills. Children work on everyday skills like turn taking,
dealing with winning and losing, “chatting”, respecting the feelings of others, and self-regulation. Participants should be fully independent, and ready to focus on
“fine-tuning” their social skills
Ages 3-5 Tuesday: 4:30-5:30 pm
Feeding the Picky Eater
This group meets in our bright and cheerful Clubhouse Café, where Speech Pathologists maximize the influence of peers to help children develop all new eating habits.
Participants should be independent in group.
Ages 2-4 Day & Time: TBD
Karate Kids
Exercise, coordination, and FUN! Our martial arts instructor, teams up with our licensed O.T. to create a dynamic program that emphasizes coordination, balance, motor
planning, and strength -- and helps children of all abilities develop focus, attention, and self-control. Participants should be independent in group.

Ages 5-10 Wednesday: 4:30-5:30 pm
Chatter Club
Speech and language development set in play, with theme-based classes that focus on increasing expressive communication and sound production. Our therapists use music,
art, and other exciting activities to enhance participation and peer interaction through verbal language. Participants should be independent in group. (2 – 3 year olds not
quite ready to “chatter” should consider “Body Talk!”)
Ages 2-3 Monday: 11:00-12:15 pm
Body Talk!
(Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy)
Language development, motor skills, sensory integration, and pre-preschool skills are the combined focus of this group. Our Speech and Occupational therapists collaborate
in a program designed to work with 2-3 year olds whose skills are still developing, but who would benefit from a small-group setting designed to prepare them for transition
to early childhood programs. Picture schedules, music, gym time, and circle time all help this little crowd get ready to go to school! Children need to be independent and
follow simple directions.
OT PRESCRIPTON REQUIRED
Ages 2-3 Monday: 11:00-12:15 pm
